This is a review of Steven Feld’s recent work, Jazz Cosmopolitanism in Accra – Five Musical Years in Ghana (2012 – Duke University Press). The book appeared after a decade in which the American anthropologist concentrated mostly on audiovisual publications, like CDs and documentaries. My review was published on the electronic journal Visual Ethnography in December 2012.
